Welcome, browsers of Quiltivate! I'm glad you're here and looking around. This community becomes infinitely more valuable when you share your thoughts and experiences. The most basic way you can contribute is by adding comments and/or images of projects you have done using any of the Blocks on the site. It's super-easy and just takes a minute.
To show how easy it is, here's a quick step-by-step demonstration. I just uploaded an image of my very first quilt, a Log Cabin I made for my parents in 2004. We were visiting them in Missouri last week and got some shots of it to share.
Step 1: On the Block Page, "Click to Add a Comment"
Step 2: Type Your Comment and Select Your Image
If you are not already signed in to Quiltivate, you'll be prompted for your username and password. If you need to create an account, it's a snap -- you create a username and secure it with a password and we get your email address so we have a place to send your password reminder if you need it.
Once you sign in, the Comment form will come back up ready for you to enter your thoughts.
Step 3: Hit "Submit" to Add Your Comment
Once you hit the "Submit" button, your comment will show up.
You can add comments with or without images, so don't feel like you have to have completed a project to share your thoughts here. If you're considering using a block in a project but have questions about it, feel free to post those to the community for help or feedback as well.
