I've found that making a beautiful quilt entails bringing together a whole bunch of interesting details. It's always exciting to see a quilt come together and turn out beautifully as a whole because of the combination of tons of tiny parts.
One of many ways to enhance quilt borders or blocks is use a technique called "mitering" to make the seam come together at a 45-degree angle instead of the simpler blocked-seam technique. Mitering is yet another thing I've never tried in my quilts, but I just may give it a shot using these tips from Caron Mosey's Michigan Quilts blog. Thanks, Caron!
